UNIC-RIO
PEACE ROOM: AN EDUCATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS PROJECT
The United Nations Information Center (UNIC-RIO), in partnership with ABRAPA – Brazilian Learning Disabilities Association and with support from NCE-LABASE-UFRJ, has been developing studies and doing research in Human Rights and Education working with 7 to 12 year-old children, promoting the EDUCATION THROUGH PEACE PROJECT.
The United Nation’s participation ensures this program’s international documentation, supporting the application of educational practices to incentivate society’s participation in projects aligned with the principles and values promoted by the United Nations – such as international peace and safety, development, defense of women’s and children’s rights, among others.
